Expo Energy Montréal 2010

The public event Expo Énergie Montréal 2010 will be open to the general public as well as Congress delegates. The exposition features free noonday lectures, panel discussions with well-known personalities from the field of energy, and exhibits on emerging energies.

The event will be held at Complexe Desjardins, within walking distance of the Montreal Convention Centre, where the Congress is being held. More than 37,000 Montrealers are expected to pass through the exhibits every day.

Energy is a part of all human activities, and everyone is concerned about our energy future. However, the complex nature of global challenges to the production, distribution and use of different forms of energy (especially emerging energy sources) can make the subject be puzzling or even repulsive to many people.

EXPO ÉNERGIE MONTRÉAL 2010 main objective is to inform visitors and make them more aware of their energy use, the savings they can make and energy choices available to them in three of the most important aspects of their daily lives: energy, transportation, and consumption.

The XXIst Word Energy Congress (WEC) Montréal 2010 invites the general public to take part in its deliberations by offering a free public event, EXPO ENERGY MONTRÉAL 2010 – Energy in Transition for a Living Planet.
