Many major organizations have chosen to gather at the same time as the Montreal Congress :

• a special meeting of the Aluminium Association of Canada;
• American North East and eastern Canadian provinces Technical Meeting;
• 2010 Canadian Energy and Mines Ministers’ Conference;
• The Financial Times Energy Leaders Summit, to be held for the first time outside of London;
• a special assembly of the Canadian Association of Members of Public Utility Tribunals (CAMPUT);
• the annual general meeting of the Electricity Sector Council of Canada;
• a special meeting of the energy ministers from the 70 state and government members from the International Organisation of La Francophonie (French speaking countries);
• a special meeting of the energy ministers from the 53 Commonwealth countries.
