This Program offers future energy leaders, already working in the industry, an opportunity to bring their ideas and concerns before their peers from around the world, with expert mentors fulfilling the role of facilitators. The World Energy Council believes in giving the energy leaders of tomorrow an opportunity to exchange opinions and ideas on energy and its specific issues at the Montreal Congress.
The FELP will run in parallel to the general program. FELP delegates benefit from full access to Congress events including high level Round Tables, Keynote and Special Addresses, along with the Opening and Closing Ceremonies. In addition, FELP delegates will start their day with a Working Breakfast with Energy Decision Makers and will attend three special technical panels on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon.
The working breakfast is an opportunity for FELP delegates to meet Energy Decision Makers and ask questions related specifically to the industry or corporate management. The invited Decision Makers will have the opportunity to make a five-minute statement to present themselves and their company at the beginning of the breakfast before opening the floor to questions from FELP delegates. To prepare for the session and to ensure that they make the most of their time with the Decision Makers, delegates will be provided with biographical notes on the invitees as well as background information on their respective companies.
The special technical panels is an opportunity to allow FELP delegates to explore in more detail certain issues discussed throughout the day in the main program of the Congress. The intention of these panels is to give FELP delegates direct access to Decision Makers on questions that are at the cutting edge of the energy sector and high on the public agenda. Each panel will reflect the theme of the day and complement the information given during the other Congress sessions and round tables.
Furthermore, the FELP aims to produce a Future Energy Leaders Declaration, delivered by representatives of the group at the Congress Closing Ceremony. The Congress has set aside one hour every day to allow FELP delegates the opportunity to work on the final declaration, which they will present at the Congress Closing Ceremony.
Finally, FELP delegates are invited to attend all Congress events, including the Opening Ceremony on Sunday, 12 September and the networking cocktail on Tuesday, 14 September. The Congress is also inviting FELP delegates to register for a technical visit on Sunday, 12 September, which will take place before the Opening Ceremony.
