MORE THAN 200 SPEAKERS ARE EXPECTED
AT WEC MONTRÉAL 2010 IN SEPTEMBER
Montréal, May 5th, 2010 – The Montréal 2010 World Energy Congress today unveiled details of the program of the largest international multi-energy gathering, taking place every three years. At the Congress close to 200 speakers from 52 different countries will discuss the world energy situation. Senior executives, energy ministers and world energy industry leaders will gather in Montreal from September 12 to 16. Among those who will be attending are:

The theme of Montréal 2010, Responding Now To Global Challenges – Energy in transition for a LIVING PLANET®, provides a framework for addressing the main challenges facing the energy sector, each of which will be covered on one of the four days of the Congress: accessibility, availability, acceptability and responsibility.
The Congress program includes:
• 4 round tables in which company presidents and energy ministers will participate
• 5 regional forums
• 1 ministerial forum
• 8 keynote speakers
• 3 special presentations
• 48 technical sessions
• Close to 200 speakers and presenters
• Nearly 300 technical papers
The WEC will be one of the main international multi-energy meetings in the aftermath of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change in Copenhagen (COP15), and takes place just two months after the G8. More than 3,500 delegates from nearly a hundred countries are expected. In addition, many organizations have decided to hold major events in Montreal in parallel with the Congress.
